The Omaha Cultural & Academic Cooperative (OCAC), recipient of the Omaha Award 2000 was created to enrich the community of Omaha by offering exciting career exploration opportunities for high school students, internships and courses for college students and seminars for nonprofit agencies.

It is partnership of five nonprofit organizations: The Durham Museum, Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo, Joslyn Art Museum, Lauritzen Gardens and the Strategic Air & Space Museum. In 2007, OCAC also added the Fontenelle Nature Association and the Omaha Children's Museum. In addition, there have been two academic partners, the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Metropolitan Community College.

Today, OCAC continues to provide the Nonprofit Breakfast Seminars for Omaha area nonprofit organizations.

OCAC was created to enrich the community of Omaha by offering exciting internships for college students and seminars for nonprofit agencies dealing with real-life issues they face each day.
